Offshore Vessel Training Courses (ClassNK Accredited): 2. SELF ELEVATING PLATFORM VESSEL(SEP / JACK-UP) FAMILIARIZATION COURSE

A familiarization course for seafarers, and non-seafarers, involved in operations and management of SEP/jack-up rigs.

(1) Course Outline

This course aims to deepen your understanding of SELF ELEVATING PLATFORM VESSEL(JACK-UP), which transport and install heavy objects by safely erecting pillars at predetermined locations on the seabed.

  • Features / Mechanisms / Maintenance
  • Marine transportation standards
  • Overview, Purpose, and Operation of jack-up rig
  • Training of Leg seabed penetration
  • SEP Stability Calculation
  • Response to unforeseen situations on SEP ships
  • Risks and safety of SEP ships

There will be classroom lectures, practical skills using a DP simulator.

(2) Minimum Qualification

Deck officers, Engineers, Any interested parties (seafarers/shore workers)
* This course is for those who have basic knowledge of ships.
Especially for those who want to acquire knowledge about the operation of platforms, barges and self-propelled vessels with jack-up systems.

(3) Duration 4 days

Day 1　8：40－17：00
Day 2　9：00－17：00
Day 3　9：00－17：00
Day 4　9：00－17：00

(4) Course Certificate

Course completion certificates will be awarded on the last day to trainees who attended more than 90% of the courses.

(5) Course Tuition Fee per person

JPY 700,000（JPY 770,000 incl. tax）
