Course for DPOs specialising in the maneuvering of Cable laying vessels.

(1) Course Outline

Emphasizes training and practical experience related to cable laying.
The lecture will provide an understanding of the components specific to DP system operation and cable installation. The knowledge, understanding and experience gained will contribute to the safe operation of cable-laying vessels, with due consideration to the safety of life at sea and the protection of the marine environment.
You will also learn about:

  • Cable-laying vessel design and specific equipment
  • Additional position reference system for use in cable laying
  • Approach offshore facilities according to procedures.
  • Operate the DP in auto-track mode during cable installation.
  • Operate DP in follow target mode.
(2) Minimum Qualification

DPO、Trainee DPO
* The course will be conducted assuming that trainees have experience operating DP Vessel.

(3) Duration 4 days

Day 1　8：40－17：00
Day 2　9：00－17：00
Day 3　9：00－17：00
Day 4　9：00－17：00

(4) Course Certificate

Course completion certificates will be awarded on the last day to trainees who attended more than 90% of the courses.

(5) Course Tuition Fee per person

JPY 700,000（JPY 770,000 incl. tax）
