Newbuilding Design Consulting
(Specification Development, Manufacturer Selection, Drawing Approval, Factory Test Attendance, Testing)

During the contract finalization for a newbuilding project, we collaborate to define the ship's specifications based on Mitsui O.S.K. Lines' standard specifications. Drawing on our extensive experience and expertise, we develop user-focused, practical, safe, and high-quality specifications that ensure ships are built within budget.
We assist in selecting manufacturers for the equipment to be installed on the vessel and review approval drawings submitted by the shipyard to confirm compliance with the agreed specifications. This ensures that the design meets both operational and safety standards while aligning with project goals.
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
A critical aspect of our design consulting services is ensuring the fundamental performance and quality of the vessel under construction. This involves monitoring land-based shop tests for main engines and generators, as well as conducting precise inspections of large-scale outfitting components for the hull structure.
Collaborating closely with construction supervisors, our technical consultants conduct on-site evaluations at factories to verify equipment performance and specifications. These assessments ensure compliance with design requirements, operational reliability, and adherence to quality standards.

Radio Equipment and Navigational instrument Inspection
As part of our consulting services, we verify that various radio equipment and navigational instruments are constructed in accordance with the contract specifications and approved documents.
Additionally, we assess the operational usability and maintenance aspects of these devices, ensuring that the installation locations are free from any issues.

In-Process Inspections and Sea Trial Attendance
Aligned with the construction schedule, we conduct inspections during the construction phase in collaboration with relevant departments at Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. For any identified deficiencies, we provide detailed feedback on improvements to the shipyard and establish a follow-up system to ensure corrective measures are properly implemented.
Additionally, we participate in onboard testing during the sea trials. This includes verifying compliance with contract performance guarantees and assessing the functionality and performance of key equipment and systems to confirm their readiness for operation.
